THE FUTURE OF STAR TREK
The plans for the 10th movie are underway and will be in the theatres around 2004. It will be the last movie featuring the cast of The Next Generation. There will be no movies with the cast of Deep Space Nine, although some actors may make cameo appearances in the new miniseries, which will start right after Voyager finishes, in 2002. It surely will involve the Breen as the new enemy. The new series will only last for 3 seasons instead of the regular 7. And for the rest? Well, Star Trek has hundreds of books, games and toys, conventions, videos, clothing and the list goes on and on...... it is truly a world-wide phenomenon that will never end and the fans are the most loyal in the world. Star Trek is all about having fun, living together in peace and overcome any obstacle in life. It's all about hope and a better future for all of us. De plannen voor de 10e film worden nu gemaakt en zal in de bioscopen verschijnen rond 2004. Het zal de laatste film zijn met de bemanning van The Next Generation. Er zullen geen films komen met de acteurs van Deep Space Nine, hoewel enkelen een gastoptreden zullen doen in de nieuwe miniserie, die van start gaat na het aflopen van Voyager, in 2002. Het zal ook rondom de Breen als nieuwe vijand draaien. De nieuwe serie zal slechts 3 jaar in plaats van de gebruikelijke 7 jaar duren. En voor de rest? Wel, Star Trek heeft inmiddels vele honderden boeken, spellen en speelgoed, bijeenkomstenm video's, kleding en de lijst gaat maar door.... het is werkelijk een wereld-wijd fenomeen dat nooit meer overgaat en de fans zijn de meest trouwe ter wereld. Star Trek gaat vooral over lol hebben, samenleven in vrede en elke tegenslag in het leven weten te overwinnen. Het draait allemaal om hoop en een betere toekomst voor ons allemaal.
