This is my NEW scooter, that I bought in november 1999. It's a Honda X8R, or Exciter as we call it, the latest model; I have the yellow one. I sold my Peugeot for a very good price and I bought this one without extra money! . All my friends like it, because it goes about 65 mph (officially it may only go 30 mph in The Netherlands) and it handles really well! This is my sixth scooter since 1993, I've had 3 Piaggio scooters, but they all sucked due to very appaling quality. Last year I bought a secondhand Peugeot Buxy and it was the best scooter so far! Last may I bought the Vivacity and now I ride with Honda.

Scooters becoming more and more popular over here, because the traffic jams are enormous.

This was my previous scooter, the Peugeot Vivacity. It is the best selling scooter in Holland in 1999. It was, after the Buxy, my second Peugeot and to be honest: as a salesperson and also speaking in private: Peugeot scooters are the best build. If you want comfort and quality at a low price and 3 years of  warranty, buy Peugeot!! It is the truth!!

I have had 3 brandnew scooters from Piaggio, twice i've had a Zip and a Typhoon. They all sucked!! They were broken in 6 months and the manufacturer said it was outside the warranty; all 3 times!!

Then why did i sell my Peugeot and now am riding Honda, you ask? Easy: Peugeot uses the same engines as Honda, but the Honda costs 1700 guilders more and i could buy it brandnew for no extra money!! Thats why! Otherwise i would still have this Peugeot. My next one will probably be a Peugeot again. Have you seen the new 2000 model: the Vivacity Sportline......
