Zundapp CS 50

On the next pages you will see a collection of my 50cc bikes; mopeds and scooters. Holland is a real scooternation at the moment, with all the daily traffic jams. Almost every household has a moped or scooter.

Op de volgende pagina's vind je een gedeelte van mijn brommers en scooters. Nederland is een echt brommerland per traditie, zeker nu met alle dagelijkse files. Bijna elk huishouden heeft er wel eentje.

1983: my first one: a Zundapp CS 50 from 1977, with 3 handgears. I painted it black myself and put on a red saddle. Look at the sparkplug cap: it has a little yellow light; looks cool in the dark. I had it from 1982 until 1985. Then the engine quit on me forever..... Zundapp was THE bike in Holland at the time. It was real quality, made in Munich in Germany. But the factory went broke in 1983 and now it's a rare sight to see one ride. I've had 3 Zundapp's in total

1983: mijn eerste: een Zundapp CS 50 uit 1977, met 3 handversnellingen. Ik heb hem zelf zwart gespoten en er een rood zadel opgezet. Let op het bougiekapje: er zit een klein lampje in wat licht geeft; ziet er tof uit in het donker. Ik heb deze gehad van 1982 tot 1985. Toen ging de motor stuk..... Zundapp was DE brommer in Nederland destijds. Het was degelijke kwaliteit, gemaakt in Munchen in Duitsland. Maar de fabriek ging in 1983 failliet en nu is het zeldzaam als je nog een Zundapp ziet rijden. Ik heb er in totaal 3 gehad.
